Follow this guide to dramatically reduce the volume of an empty juice (or milk or whatever) carton before you throw it in the trashcan. Why? Because it'll leave more space for other trash and so reduces the number of garbage bags. Saves plastic, and therefore oil!

First, make sure the carton is empty.



Next, fold out the flaps on the side.



Then, flatten the top of the carton, but leave the base intact.



Fold the base in one piece to one side of the carton as shown on the picture.



Fold the top of the carton so you're able to push it under the base. Then press down the base so the top stays in place and you're done!
