VIDEOS

European Beaver (Castor fiber) videos. Filmed in the Ooijpolder near Nijmegen (for those familiar with it: beside the "Zwarte Weg") in the beginning of the evening, when Beavers get active. Listen to all the awesome sounds! Black-tailed Godwits, lots of marsh birds and frogs! And the wind unfortunately. Filmed may 4th 2006.

A Red Squirrel preening. Video made in the so-called Filosofendal, a beautiful piece of forest near Beek that has a lot of streams running through it. Filmed may 25th 2008.

A Greater White-toothed shrew (Crocidura russula, Huisspitsmuis in Dutch) eating breadcrumbs and seeds on the terrace on August 4th 2010. Filmed by placing my photo camera on the grond, pressing the record button and going back inside. It took a minute, but then the shrew returned to be filmed. See also the August 4th 2010 diary entry.

A House Mouse (Mus musculus, Huismuis in Dutch, probably a juvenile) eating seeds fallen from the bird feeder in our back garden on November 7th 2010.

An Otter (Lutra lutra) caught on one of my trail cameras! This is the first Otter in more than 50 years in the so-called Gelderse Poort! I'm the second person to have caught this animal on trailcam. Check out the very first and better videos here: http://youtu.be/_Bv7mn16u48 The Otter was filmed by my trailcamera on February 2nd 2013.
